I have had some offers from models and am wondering if our creative gathering would be interested in drawing form the model.
it would mean we all have to put some money in to pay our model.
Would be great to get our clothed models back.

Sydney Living Museum

I am a great believer in children learning the history of our country ,by viewing our historical houses .It gives them an element of bringing the past into the present.
As a child i went to visit Vaucluse house and many museums and old grave yards .I loved it and still do .Makes you visualise the past and imagination comes into play .
I used to imagine all the people walking around in there old clothes and how hot they must of been back then Imagine them using those dodgy stoves.
Remembering this i loved to visit my grandad, who had his wardrobes fall on him all the time .He was so cute.He lived in Bathurst. He had an old sulky in his back yard and kelpie dogs .His house smelled of kerosene and he had a massive bed with a really soft mattress we had to climb up to get onto .He was a cranky old bugger though.

meetingsand progress

Meeting held yesterday with risk assesors, maintenance ,engineers, planning, environmental, parks, sustainability and cultural development for council.
All went well .Was great to get feedback on our design.I would love to do a million of these projects ,it would be so much fun.
Just have to wait for contracts to be drawn up and then fabrication to begin .
In the meantime we have our creative gathering again next week and am looking forward to being able to work on my piece for the exhibit .Working on our invitations and sorting our our opening night .

Deadline is this Sunday .All sorted at last.We are feeling positive .
The process we have used has been so much fun working towards our sculpture .
Fabrication will be interesting .Seeing a sculpture come together is always exciting.Something trapped in your head being fabricated into something real ,substantial and beautiful.
Now we have to think about sorting our exhibition.
The nerves will start firing then.Exhibiting is not one of my favourite things. The only good thing i will enjoy will be the opening night.

art materials in sydney

This week, wondering whether or not we should hold our gathering more often.
Miss everyone, but gives me time to get my head around our project.Deadlines approaching fast.
Still have to get input from youth.Changing approach to the design a couple of times.I guess part of creating is doubting.  I find I get that a lot. Not good though when deadline is fast approaching.  Oh well , we will get there.
Have to start thinking about our exhibition as well. Great having our gathering because I can now work towards our exhibit . Being able to have space to work is fantastic
